Becca Jay (117) brings awareness to the fact that the Quad Rock takes place on ancestral lands of Arapaho, Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute), Cheyenne and Očhéthi Šakówiŋ (Sioux) indigenous groups. What is now Colorado was stolen from indigenous groups via a series of land "cessations" in the mid to late 1800s.
